Future Publishing approached Hijack Media to create and deliver an advert to pay homage to the 3D version of the 1985 hit film Back to the Future to celebrate its 25th anniversary.
Hijack hence set on a mission to transport users through time on their own journey. This process involved a standard MPU format turning into an Overlay upon rollover. The MPU loaded with the iconic DeLorean car facing the user with a call to action to click and travel back to 1955. Rolling over on the MPU triggered the car to drive up to the front of the screen, wheels spinning, and shoot off with a fire-trail. As a lightning bolt hit the screen, the page faded to white taking the user back in time to an old black and white newspaper featuring memorable classic scenes from the film.

We love the lengths that Hijack went to great the tone and animation right for this integrated execution. Its hard to find anyone who doesn't love this classic movie or its iconic time travelling car, and here Hijack have brilliantly recaptured that sense of mischievous fun and adventure.
